andante con moto 2021
My string quartet Wege (Ways) refers to the Andante con moto from Mozart's string quartet E flat major KV 428. It was already in 2016 when working on this piece, that I wished to make a version of this poetic radical music. A version which emphasizes the breaks and abysses.
After the new performance of Wege by GROW String Quartet at a festival of Tritonus in Bremen 2021, I could accomplish this task. A version emerged, which is certainly less poetic than the original, but may find some interest to discover some new realities in it.
