two modes, two spaces.

the first mode stands for selection. the space is constructed as separation. on top the chosen ones, the geniuses, the powerful, the heroes, the representatives. this is the direction for the eyes, the eyes of those who have not been chosen. there is the envied life, there are the stars, whose names everybody knows. watching with admiration or contempt, complaint or adoration. oh yes, those up there.

the second mode means sharing. a shared space is a space which is unified for a moment, as me and you and a small we.

art in the midst of life is art in this kind of space.
