to let something arise as a creative relationship to the reality.

to let something arise is close to create something, but the emphasis is to establish conditions in which something can occur. the labour, the concentration, the work, the ingenuity goes to obtain this space of possibilities and creativity. in this space, the main activity is to let things happen.

this is, i think, related to what is called in laozi as to act not to act, which is a perimetric movement rather than one which resembles a straight line oriented to a target. no arrow shot which in its hit also kills, but a limitation which protects and enables, an approach, a touch and release again, and then, as it says in the laozi, to step back, for leaving the space alone and self getting to be alone again.

this is affirmation as the given things are not pruned, but taken as they are. is is belief, in that there, in that space, so here, something can arise. and love, to that what is not yet in the world, but simply wants to be, without any further sense and ratio.
